On August 27, Yu Zheng, the producer of ‘The Double’ and also the manager of the two actors, shared on his personal Weibo account that Wu Jinyan and Wang Xingyue would be the lead for the upcoming drama ‘Falling Spring Night (墮落春夜)’.
Reportedly, Wu Jinyan is set to portray the role of an actress, Wu Man who never filmed a kissing scene. Meanwhile, Wang Xingyue will play a 20-year-old young actor, Zhui Ye who unexpectedly steals her first kiss.

The drama is based on the popular novel ‘Falling Spring Night (墜落春夜)’ by Yan Xueji which is a top rated romance novel in Jinjiang. The story features the significant age gap relationship and a love triangle. the glamorous actress Wu Man, with years in the industry, has three strict filming rules: she always uses a stand-In for kissing scenes, a body double for revealing scenes, and refuses bed scenes. This is due to her powerful and possessive financial patron, who is five years older.
Wu Man initially believed she would retire without ever sharing an onscreen kiss. However, her new role with the arrogant and free-spirited 20-year-old actor Zhui Ye changed everything.
