Youku’s romance fantasy Drama ‘The Eternal Fragrance (千香引)’ stars Song Wei Long and Ju Jing Yi in the lead roles.
Based on the novel “Qian Xiang Yin” (千香引) by Shi Si Lang (十四郎), the series is directed by Ju Jue Liang, known for ‘Till The End Of The Moon’. In addition to two main leads, the series features actors like He Hong San, Tang Xiaotian, Wu Mian and more in the supporting roles.
“The Eternal Fragrance” is yet another fantasy drama where immortals, demons, and spirits coexist. The story revolves around the conflict between these three beings. A hundred years later, Lei Xiu Yuan (played by Song Weilong) intentionally approaches an orphan fox spirit from Qingqiu, Xiao Bang Chui (portrayed by Ju Jingyi), in order to save his brother. By chance, they both enroll in the Phoenix Academy to study and grow close to each other.
Since filming wrapped up this April, the show has already exceeded 1 million reservations on the platform.
In early 2024, Ju Jingyi’s two dramas, ‘Sword and Fairy 4‘ and ‘In Blossom‘, were released. While the former faced criticism, the latter became a dark horse on the Youku platform. In June, the actress left her former agency, Siba Media (Star 48). Meanwhile, Song Weilong has not had any projects released in 2024. However, his drama ‘Ever Lasting Longing‘ with Angela Baby recently obtained a distribution license, suggesting a potential premiere later this year.
