Bai Lu has recently wrapped up filming her new costume fantasy drama, 临江仙 Lin Jiang Xian (currently untitled in English), alongside co-star Zeng Shunxi. The drama completed its four-month shooting schedule, which began in April 2024.
Once again, Bai Lu will portray the powerful immortal, Li Qing Yue, in the play.
The 29-year-old actress saw a significant rise in popularity in 2023 as all three of her dramas released in the year became hits: Till The End Of The Moon with Luo Yunxi, Only For Love with Dylan Wang, and The Story Of Kunning Palace with Zhang Linghe. This catapulted her to a new level of prominence in the industry.
Despite the eight-month gap since her last drama, The Story Of Kunning Palace, over 2,000 of her fans showed up at the wrap party. The actress expressed her gratitude by providing thousands of meal boxes, pizzas, milk teas, and cakes for her supporters. It’s estimated that the food and transportation expenses costs exceeded 1.5 million yuan. Furthermore, Bai Lu delighted fans by singing and taking photos with them, showing her deep appreciation for their support.
Bai Lu gained significant attention in 2018 for her dual roles in the drama Untouchable Lovers. Three years later, her consecutive collaborations with Ren Jialun in One and Only and Forever and Ever propelled her to a new heights. In the same year, Bai Lu also joined the reality show Keep Running as a regular cast member, winning over countless fans with her candid and friendly personality.
Both Bai Lu and Zeng Shunxi shared behind-the-scenes photos on their respective Weibo accounts after wrapping up the drama. The pictures hint at a promising on-screen chemistry. Fans are eagerly looking forward to this pair and their story.
Apart from this new costume drama, the actress has two upcoming dramas awaiting release: Northward and Moonlight Mystique.
