Tencent Video’s revenge theme costume drama Love of Nirvana (流水迢迢) starring Allen Ren Jialun, Li Landi, and Jeremy Tsui is confirmed to premiere on 14 September 2024.
Based on the novel Liu Shui Tiao Tiao (流水迢迢), the series is directed by Zhou Jing Tao (周靖韬), best known for A Journey to Love and Noble Aspirations. The drama follows the story of Xiao Wu Xia (Allen Ren Jialun), the young lord of Yueluo City, who has been in disguise as Wei Zhao in Liang Kingdom for years. He’s on a mission to uncover the truth behind his family’s mysterious murder. To this end, he swallows his anger and dignity, becoming an infamous sycophant. However, Jiang Ci (Li Landi), a young girl gets involved in the process, disrupting his carefully laid plans.

In the play, Allen Ren Jialun plays Xiao Wu Xia, a young lord with a traumatic past. To unravel the mystery, he has been working discreetly, enduring humiliation while pretending to be a domineering and notorious sycophant in Liang Kingdom. Beneath this facade, he is a brilliant strategist who is righteous and deeply cares for his people.
Li Landi takes on the role of Jiang Ci, an innocent and lively young girl who is unfamiliar with politics and court life but is gentle and smart. She later falls in love with Xiao Wu Xia and works on the battlefield as a doctor.
Xu Zhengxi portrays the character of Pei Yan, who hails from a noble family. He is a skilled schemer and a natural politician. While he appears warm and friendly on the surface, he’s opportunistic. Initially, he captures Jiang Ci’s affection, but political struggles and his pursuit of power force him to let go of this opportunity.
In addition to main leads, the series feature familiar faces like Gao Han, Zhang Feng Yi, Wen Zheng Rong, Zhu Yuan Bing and more in the supporting roles.
Ren Jialun and Jeremy Tsui Reunion after ‘Burning Flames’
Allen Ren Jialun and Jeremy Tsui also known as Xu Zheng Xi, reunite following their collaboration in “Burning Flames.” Despite limited screen time in “Burning Flames,” Jeremy’s performance was well-received by viewers. In “Love Of Nirvana”, he portrays Prime Minister Pei Yan where he will transition from adversary to ally. However, The 39 year old actor announced his retirement from the entertainment industry on March 15, 2024.
