Hunan TV and Mango TV’s historical period drama ‘ Melody of Golden Age (长乐曲) is another ‘marriage first, love later’ drama. Based on the web novel “Chang An Tong Que Ming”, the drama stars Ryan Ding Yuxi and Ancy Deng Enxi in the leading roles.

In Melody of the Golden Age, Deng Enxi portrays the female lead, Yan Xing, a highly skilled and talented young woman with a knack for investigation, solving cases, and uncovering hidden truths. Aspiring to work in the Ministry of Justice, she successfully passes the examination.
However, her plans are abruptly disrupted when she is asked to become a substitute in a marriage to protect her family after her third sister flees from a marriage arranged by the Empress Dowager. Meanwhile, Ryan Ding Yuxi plays the male protagonist, Shen Du, the head of the imperial guard and the intended groom for Yan Xing. Initially, they both dislike each other and are forced to work together. But gradually, as time passes, they develop feelings for each other.
